PHUKET: Police are puzzled by the mysterious drowning of an Army officer in a Phuket pond, with a handgun and ammunition in his pockets. The man's body was found today.
Jetsada Sutin was fetched from the water in a pond near Rock Garden Village, Rassada, around 3.45pm by Kusoldharm Phuket Foundation rescuers.
Khun Jetsada was a member of the Army's Division 44, based in Yala, and he came from Phang Nga.
He died in the pond wearing camouflage trousers and a black t-shirt.
In his pockets they found a .9 handgun, a magazine of ammunition containing 10 bullets, government ID, about 1000 baht in cash and a car key,
Police opened ther door of a black sedan nearby with the car key. Inside they found a sampled bottle of Regency Whisky.
Investigations are continuing. Police believe Khun Jetsada may have been in the pond for as long as three days.

A army officer, age 44, must be at least a captain or major. What the pictures are showing and the report says about all the stuff in his pockets, it is a weird story. But concerning Phuket scene I not become surprised by anything anymore. Hope PW comes at later time with a update.
