A CALL is being made for O Negative blood for a Danish man after a motorcycle crash on Patong Hill. The man, aged 45, is in intensive care at Vachira Phuket Hospital in Phuket City.
He came off the motorcycle about 3pm on Thursday but friends said he did not want to have his name used out of concern for alarming his family.
The man suffered a broken leg, arm, shoulder, a splintered shoulder joint and a fractured pelvis. He also has suffered internal bleeding.
Originally treated at Phuket International Hospital, he was transferred to Vachira at his own request on Saturday and a series of operations were carried out after some more O Negative blood became available from regular donors.
The man is still being assisted with his breathing in intensive care. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Police have told his friends there was no other vehicle involved.
