Phuket's Andrew and Krista Hunter pick up their International Awards

Phuket's Hunters Bag Two Big Asia Pacific Property Titles

Tuesday, May 1, 2012
PHUKET: Phuket couple Krista and Andrew Hunter, who run Phuket's Hunter Sotheby's International Realty, have accepted a couple of prestigious regional awards that note their success not just as Phuket property agents but also in setting high international standards on Phuket.

Here's what the media releases had to say:

At the prestigious International Property Awards, Asia Pacific 2012-2013 in Kuala Lumpur on Friday, Hunter Sotheby's International Realty was thrilled to win two awards: Winner of Best Real Estate Agent Website Thailand and highly commended in the Best Real Estate Agent Thailand category.

The Asia Pacific region produced a record number of entries from 17 different countries for this year's International Property Awards. No other region has come anywhere near matching this feat in the entire 18 year history of the International Property Awards.

The winners were revealed during a two-day Property and Hospitality Summit at the J. W. Marriott Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on April 26 -27.

Covering residential as well as commercial categories, the prime focus of the prestigious International Property Awards is to seek out the best real estate professionals across the globe.

Kata Rocks, the multi-award winning boutique development located between Phuket's Kata and Kata Noi beaches, brought home six awards.

''Adding six new awards to our list is pretty outstanding,'' says Kata Rocks Developer and MD Richard Pope. ''We couldn't be any more proud of what we are achieving with our project and with the level of recognition it's bringing to Phuket.''

Phuket's Bluepoint Condos also won highly coveted awards in two competitive categories.

Stuart Shield, president of the International Property Awards, said: ''We were amazed and delighted by the enormous number of entries received for the Asia Pacific region this year.

''The standard was also extremely high. Any company to win one of these awards has shown exceptional levels of professionalism and competence in their respective field.''

This year's judging panel consists of more than 70 professionals from across the industry, including Fiona Nixon, chairman of the Australian Institute of Architects; Peter Bolton King, group chief executive of the National Federation of Property Surveyors; and David Darby of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
