To whom it my concern!
We are a group of house owners at Kamala Beach, Soi Tho Kiet (Moo 5)
We would like to ask for your advice on how to find out who is responsible for our road (the only road) leading to our houses.
The road is so bad that people are injured falling off motorbikes; our cars are damaged and regularly get flat tires due to the terrible and treacherous road surface. It is dangerous for the families and children who attend the school which is positioned on the road. In addition it has dangerous corners that do not properly show oncoming traffic.
It is just a matter of time before someone is seriously injured and hospitalised. If this is not enough there is a rubbish disposal area at the end of the road which is home to all sorts of vermin and stray dogs and cats from all over the place.
In short the road is a blemish on the community within which we live. It is affecting our peaceful lives as not one day goes by where we all curse this obstacle track that is meant to be a ''road''.
It devalues our homes and impacts on our peaceful and law abiding lives. It has to change!
According to the village headman, the road is privately owned and leased by his brother. As the road is private the OBT has no responsibility we have been told by the village headman. The owner of the road says he has an agreement with the developer to make a new road but this is yet to happen.
The developer is using the road for his development projects and has been promising to build a new road for over 6 years. The road just keeps getting worse!
Just a few days ago the developer filled the many 10 inch deep holes with some dirt again after some people complaint again, but we know that in only a few weeks the road will [be] nearly impassable again.
We are about 30 houses and we wonder how it can happen that nobody seems to be responsible for the road leading to a public housing estate?
We would be most grateful as to your help and support as to how we can fix the road. It is no longer tenable. Please help!

Patong's Rubble Road Attracts Business
It's a difficult track to traverse but Patong's rockiest road is actually a sign that business finds the resort town an attractive investment. Here's what's happening behind Jungceylon

Feel sorry for those people. We had the same problem at our area.
Many times I wonder why a financially sound province like Phuket has such bad roads. Compare the roads in the far north or north-east to Phuket!!
Why certain developer never care for their buyers?
I actually know this road at Kamala and one person living there!
Another friend of mine wanted to buy a house there, but when he listened to the people about all the empty promises by the developer and seeing the road and dirt he decided to buy at Laguna.
