FASHION is meant to be fun and last night's first catwalk parade in Phuket Fashion Week & Music Festival was certainly fun . . . yet the show probably deserved a larger audience.

All tickets now come with seats provided, the organisers say, after standing room was available on the first night.

Tonight Thailand's Minister of Commerce will be among the onlookers in the central courtyard at Jungceylon.

On Friday night the Phuket Mermaids swimwear parade is expected to draw a peak audience. Last night the labels were DAKS, 8E88* and Keven, with plenty more to come.

Ticket prices have been dramatically reduced to encourage people to join the audience.

A music concert begins at 9pm, after the parade, with after-performance parties being held each night.

Parades, a concert and a party follow every night at Jungceylon at 6pm until June 30.
