Part of the gun collection seized last night by Phuket police

Sting In Phuket Drugs Raid Uncovers Wanted Man Replaying Lifestyle

Friday, February 20, 2015
PHUKET: The small-time arrest of a man with just a couple of ya bah pills in his possession led to the capture of a much bigger fish on Phuket overnight.

Somsak Sukjan agreed to take part in a ''sting'' operation and as a result Phuket City police netted Surasak Rabeadee, 32, at home in Moo 3, Rassada.

Khun Surasak, police quickly discovered, had been a wanted man since June 2013 over possession of 4580 ya bah pills, 51 grams of ya ice and an illegal gun and ammunition.

There was a similarity in last night's arrest.

Police alleged Khun Surasak was in possession of 1135 ya bah pills, 7.98 grams of ya ice and a shotgun as well as an M16 for his own protection, plus ammunition.

Good catch for the police. This pathetic little punk criminal is a dangerous element here in Phuket (or anywhere for that matter). Cowardly little drug dealer, and armed with these crazy weapons...whew! I'm glad this low-life is off the streets. However, I am almost just as scared that he is in the hands of the police, who have shown time and time again their reluctance to slam punks like this down for long long prison terms.

'and a shotgun as well as an M16 for his own protection' - what a load of tripe - protection from whom? The police who had him marked as a wanted man! They need to throw a very hefty book at this guy & any like him.

Your position on phones appears to have changed since your last message:

Id personally rather be on the net at home than in some tailor shop (no offence to tailors) and why anyone would look for love online while living in Thailand is beyond me but each to their own. What irks me is the sight of a couple or family all on their phones during dinner and the ever slowing speed of the internet on the island. How does it become slower with time. Ah.. it must be Thaksins or the tuk tuk mafia fault.. We could just blame it on the russians.

Wow, Ed, is that really the "m" word, without quotes, you used... shame shame shame, I do hope you now chastise yourself, by adding another comment.

The word ''man'' may be used without quotes, LH.
