Thailand Update A highly reliable source confirmed today that former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra was held in Bangkok and is now free, despite concern there had been no announcement from the National Peace and Order Maintaining Council.

Dear Editor

In light of the current political situation, I am unsure if your court case will be going ahead today?

If it is then I will not waste your valuable time, other than to wish you and Khun Chutima the very best of luck. Hopefully the Court will see sense that this case is neither in the public interest or the interests of Thailand.

Thank you. The National Peace and Order Maintaining Council has suggested schools and courts will be operating as usual. We were worried about our Internet connection, which disappeared last night, but apparently it's a problem for everyone in the local community.
