Thaksin posted an iphone video message on facebook wishing people in Chiang Mai Songkran blessings.

I'm no Doctor but he looked terrible. He was skinny with large bags under his eyes. His speech was weak and he looked and sounded like a defeated man.

Perhaps he read about the time that Phuketwan journalists spent in cells last week and the thought dawned that he could have a similar, longer experience if he returns to Thailand?
