Vladimir Putin: Poacher turned gamekeeper. He has disrupted in Crimea, Georgia & Ukraine (not to forget the downed civil airliner over Ukraine) & is now going to be the be the leader/saviour of war torn Syria - forgive me if I am a tad cynical as to his motives at this late stage.

"Russia appeared to seize the initiative in international efforts to end the conflict in Syria"... I find this statement quite funny. "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." Putin doesn't end conflicts, he starts them.
