Human Trafficking in Thailand

reuters Thai authorities must step up witness protection for a major human trafficking trial with the accused including an army general and one investigator fleeing the country fearing for his life, activists said as the first witnesses gave evidence. The case includes 88 defendants allegedly involved with lucrative smuggling gangs that were trafficking Rohingya Muslims fleeing persecution in Myanmar, holding them for ransom in jungle camps before granting onward passage to Malaysia. The hearing was held with only defendants, witnesses, public prosecutors and defence lawyers present. The court said that relatives and media members could attend and listen to the testimonies via a live closed-circuit TV broadcast in another room, but they could not record or publish the content as it could affect the trial if other witnesses in the case knew it.

It would help if they explained these things like terminal 2. I arrived there last night and didn't know where I was. They didn't tell us we'd be arriving at a new terminal. To get the bus to Suwanaphum you have to walk back to terminal 1 but of course you don't know that. There were a lot of confused farangs wandering around. Lucky I can speak Thai and I bailed up some airport worker who told me which way to go. You basically just turn right and keep walking and it goes back to terminal 1. A few signs would help.
