PHUKET: Beach vendors at Patong, struggling to keep their jobs, reported loan sharks to Tourist Police who arrested the men yesterday and presented them to the media last night.
The four negotiated loans and then returned every day to plague the vendors for their 20 percent interest, Tourist Police said.
The gang, from Nakhon Prathom province, had been operating on Phuket for three months.
Tourist Police confiscated the money that the men were carrying yesterday and told reporters what the men had been doing at a conference at Tourist Police headquarters in Phuket City last night. .
The men are Wirat Jankampa, 20, (9300 baht); Anek Hauhongtong, 35, (1050 baht); Watehara Kongdee, 34 (10,700 baht); Wichan Tungtakong, 24 (990 baht).
They will be handed to Phuket police to be charged.

So basically they borrowed money from these guys - agreed to the rate of interest - and now that the guys want there interest payments report them to the police - hate to tell these vendors these are the middlemen - the big boy still wants his money
