PHUKET: An alleged drugs kingpin with an arsenal of guns was arrested on Phuket in a police sting, the new Region 8 commander, Lt General Tesa Siriwato said today.

He told the media at Phuket Police Headquarters in Phuket City that the arrest of Siriporn Raksakaew, 24, and Aniwat Chamnan, 30, who were both on bail for drugs charges, led on to alleged ringleader Chaiyan Rungpeach, 31, and Kittipong Sealew, 28.

With the weapons and 196 bullets, police also took possession of 31 grams of ya ice 3506 ya bah tablets and a Nissan Teana valued at about one million baht.
