PHUKET: Marine Police and paramedics have helped a crewman who suffered a heart attack on a cargo ship to get to a hospital on Phuket - but he died before reaching there.
About 12.30pm today officials on Phuket heard the radio call explaining that a Latvian mechanic aged 55, had suffered what appeared to be a heart attack on board a 19,579 tonne vessel as it sailed past the Thai holiday island.
However, the man did not survive the attack.
His body was lowered in a cargo net to the small Marine Police vessel alongside the Bahaman-registered barge carrier Eide Transporter.
An ambulance carried the heart attack victim from Phuket's Deep Sea Port to Vachira Phuket Hospital in Phuket City.

That headline sounds rather hard on the Marine Police.
'However, the man did not survive the attack. '
They didn't fail - apparently the man was already dead

Nothing ''rather hard'' on the Marine Police about the heading. There was an attempt at a rescue, but Death won.
