PHUKET: SmartPhuket is a tourist application showing the top 10 tourist destinations on Phuket in a unique, three-dimensional view.
3D tourist attractions include the Khao Rang view, Phuket mining museum and Phuket Old Town.
Tourists can explore destinations in the form of 3D models that also include brief information, a picture gallery and directions to the attraction. An offline mode is also provided.
The application was developed and launched by OSM Andaman and the Prince of Songla University Phuket campus last month.
Santi Pawai, Director of Phuket Tourism and Sport, told Phuketwan that further funding would be needed before the application would be available on Apple IOS devices.
Smart Andaman applications are available from Google Play for Krabi, Trang, Ranong, Phuket and Phang Nga.
