PHUKET: A British man has been towed back to port on Phuket after his small single-engine speedboat ceased to function off Krabi yesterday.
Nicholas Charles Byham, 49, a former English teacher who lives in Thailand, took the runabout to sea from Ao Nang in Krabi about 2.30pm yesterday.
However, once the motor spluttered to a stop, he was forced to telephone Marine Police for assistance.
The Marine Police took about an hour to tow the stricken vessel to Rassada Pier in Phuket where Mr Byham aimed to seek repairs.
