PHUKET: A man is believed to have drowned in his car early today after he ran off a road in Phuket's Nai Thon district into a pond.
Locals rushed to the rescue when the Honda Civic, for reasons yet to be determined, left the road surface about 8am and flipped into the water.
Rescuers called to the scene also struggled to free the man. No lifting equipment was available to remove the car for an hour.
Killed in the crash was Phubordi Marasa, 26. His body was taken to Thalang Hospital.

Being a single car crash, have a great deal to do with the person behind the wheel, the road toll just escalated its so large the responsible authority for recording these matters are too ashamed to enlighten us to what they are.
