Not much change except to provide one stop shopping. Australia is a large country. It unfortunately still does not give a link from Phuket to Brisbane, a destination that has gone begging for around a year now.
Anytime I flew that route with the previous carriers the planes were full.

Yes, it's a mystery why there has been no replacement for Air Australia on the Phuket-Brisbane Phuket-Melbourne routes.
