PHUKET: The site for Phuket's Grand Mosque was revealed yesterday by Phuket Governor Maitree Intrusud. The 150 million baht building will be erected on land next to Thalang Technical College, on the road to Phuket International Airport, the governor said. The mosque will be the central mosque for the Andaman region. Another building for educational purposes is to be erected at a cost of 100 million baht. About one in three Andaman coast residents is a Muslim. Phuket has more than 50 mosques.
