THE Thanyapura Hospitality Group has unveiled plans for two Phuket-based retreats/resorts plus a beach club, and an ''organic resort'' based north of the island at Khao Sok.
A media release says the offerings include a ''diverse range of hospitality resorts, retreat, private beach club, and organic restaurants and cooking school, all of which are catering to an audience who seek to experience a healthy, active and balanced lifestyle through a diverse choice of sports, arts, meditation, yoga, organic cuisine and other leisure activities.''
THG, the release says, consists of the two Phuket-based properties - the 38-room, three-star Thanyachitra Retreat, scheduled to open mid November, adjacent to the Phuket International Academy Mind Centre, and the 77-room four-star Thanyachiva Lifestyle Resort, scheduled to open in November 2011, alongside the academy's Sports and Leisure Club.
The Khao Sok based Thanyamundra Organic Resort, also scheduled to open in the middle of next month, is ''located on a working organic farm adjacent to the Khao Sok National Park.''
The release also promotes The Wave Beach Club on Naithon Beach, which is ''set to become a sought-after venue offering views of the ocean opening late December 2010 in time for the festive season.''
Thanyamundra, says the release, is a ''sustainable five-star organic resort, two hour's drive north of Phuket''.
''It hosts two luxury villas, with seven suites and two rooms, a fitness centre with the latest from Technogym, a 50-metre lap pool, meditation and yoga spaces and an organic cooking school which utilises the organic produce from the farm.
''Organic farm tours and work experiences offer guests a unique opportunity to delve into the growing in popularity world of sustainable agro tourism.
