MD Ravi Chandran gives a young Laguna graduate his certificate

Phuket Resort Gives Young Children a Flying Start at School

Wednesday, April 2, 2014
PHUKET: Laguna Phuket Kindergarten organised its annual Commencement Ceremony for 52 students graduating from K3 level. The event was attended by more than 100 proud parents and family members.

The one and a half hour ceremony was officiated by Ravi Chandran, Managing Director of Laguna Resorts and Hotels.

The ceremony began with Mr Chandran presenting diplomas to the young graduates, and was followed by performances from enthusiastic K1 and K2 students.

To commemorate this special event, graduates took a class photo with Laguna Phuket Executive Management amid the lush surrounding of Laguna Phuket Kindergarten.

Parents and families also had opportunities to take photos with their children against decorative backdrops located in various locations around the school.

''Congratulations to all the students on your great accomplishment,'' said Mr Chandran in his speech to the graduates and their families.

''I hope that your lives have been enriched by the knowledge you've gained here. I believe that education is vital for a child's future, and believe the teachers at Laguna Phuket Kindergarten work very hard to ensure holistic education for all the students.

''As parents, I hope that you will continue to provide your children with the best possible education opportunities so they can grow to be quality individuals.''

Originally established in 1992 as a Child Care Centre, the facility was first registered under the Ministry of Education as Laguna Phuket Kindergarten in 2009.

The school provides free education to children of Laguna Phuket associates and underprivileged community members. Since the school???s commencement, approximately 676 students have graduated from 20 classes.
