THE PHUKET Blues Rock Festival comes to the island for the third year on Friday, February 22 and Saturday, February 23.
After two events since 2005 when the only element really lacking was the audience it deserves, the third festival looks set to hit its stride, break into a roar, and shake the house.
Twelve acts will be performing at the Hilton Arcadia Phuket in downtown Karon, with tickets at 700 baht for one night, or 1000 baht for two and a VIP special available at 3000 baht. For that price, perhaps you even get to join in on a set or two.
International performers include America's Shari Puorto and Rich Harper. One of Australia's top blues bands, Salty Dog, will rock the stage Friday night. Cannonball, Georgia, Full House and Soi Dogs from Bangkok; The Blues Machine from Pattaya; The Fabulous Hepcats from Koh Samui; Boy Blues Band from Chiang Mai as well as Phuket's Groove Doctors with Jimmy Fame and Bonnie Anderson are all on the schedule.
Rich Harper closes the show on Friday night and Shari Puorto on Saturday.
