The woman tested positive for Zika virus, making hers the first confirmed infection with this virus in Canada. The 45-year-old woman reported having sustained bug bites during a trip to Phuket and Bangkok in January.

Tripadvisor is notoriously unreliable, and many many favourable reviews are written by resort employees. It is also frequently used by guests as a blackmail tool if they don't get their -unbdeserved - way. Tripadvisor now also offers business listings, and you can even book through Tripadvisor via its Flipkey subsidiary. Conflict of interest ? Do bears take care of their business in the woods?

It may have its flaws that Tripadvisor, but over all, its a source I like to use! Just take out some of the best and some of the bad critics and read the leftovers!
