The "congested skies" claim is just a smokescreen. The reality is that Aerothai, which is responsible for Air Traffic Control of Thai airspace, has not been keeping up with the increase in traffic.

This has lead to security breaches which the ICAO audit has uncovered.

The only option left is to limit traffic because qualified staff takes years to train and can't be added overnight.

The whole Thai aviation business is like a can of worms which is just about to be opened for everyone to see.
