This will only lead to further annexation of pedestrian part for vehicles of all kinds.

I made an experiment trying few weeks ago to move just by pedestrian part of the road while taking a leisurely walk around Phuket Town very center - one segment has been blocked by motorbike in front of some kind of tour agency, by a kind of manager of it - I had a choice either to move to a road , or squeeze myself between a wall and a motorbike mirror - for a clarity of an experiment I chosen the latter : it was too tight, as a result mirror became detached and fallen on the ground . Immensely a proletariat crowd appeared from nowhere pointing fingers and screaming "You! You!" and then a motorbike owners appeared with a typical Phuket mimics a.k.a. the one of a racketeering tuk tuk operator. I was extremely polite, offered my apologies in Thai, and have ready to continue further with a police , if necessary - as motorbike incurred the damage because of his own fault , violating traffic rules , and at the same violating my basic rights and legal interest of not risking my health and life by walking on a road, that is , in addition, is illegal. Still, he wisely calmed down and disappeared with a mirror from his fXXXing bike in the depth of his business office.
