In aviation, nothing should be left to luck. Though typical for Chinese, Lucky Air instills about as much confidence in the airline as Microsoft Airways would.

In the past a downgrade to category 2 by the FAA has lead to extensive banning of all airlines registered in the respective country. The issues Thai DCA are cited for are extensive and take years to resolve.

Basically they do not have enough and/or sufficiently trained staff to verify if operators comply with rules and regulations.

In short, Thai DCA has no idea how safe or unsafe Thai registered airlines are.

Scrambling to find parking space for grounded aircraft tells us Thai authorities know this is going to happen in 60 days from now.

Something worth considering before one books an international flight with a Thai registered airline 2 months or more from now.

The PM doesn't know an alternative to Coal Energy?

Surely he must have Advisors who can tell him the alternatives or just use Google.

- By banning alcohol sales near universities and technical colleges, Thailand is putting the nation at the forefront of efforts in Asia to curb booze consumption. -

I doubt it will have any significant impact. They'll simply jump on their motor bikes & go that extra few hundred meters to get alcohol if they want.

There are much more effective ways to stop this. All Thais have I.D. cards so put the onus on the sales people to check I.D. for age before selling. Do spot checks & punish those who do not comply (as with cigarettes).
