Germany's Volkswagen has 'won the approval from Thai authorities??? It actually is Thailand who has to be glad that Volkswagen is intending to invest in Thailand. It means thai jobs, extra taxes paid to thai government. And, thai can learn more about how to take care of environmental issues. Volkswagen is a European leading company is how to preserve the environment, take care of environment, not polluting. Not like thai dropping their factory polluted dirt everywhere.

Editor Comment:

I am sure it will be a good relationship provided VW don't look down on Thais and Thailand the way that you do.

Why the thai authorities were not looking after the 16 Rohingya's BEFORE they "escaped'. Where this people treated as prisoners? If so, good that Thailand remains in Tier 3. I shall not ask who is responsible for the 'escape'. In Thailand always nobody.

F-16 has a crash shoot out pilot chair. Will be interesting to hear why the pilot not left the aircraft by that before the crash. Perhaps not provided with a parachute that flight?

"The dead pilot would be promoted 7 ranks to group captain". So someone who crashes and dies will be promoted but those who experience flight issues and possess the skill to land will not receive such rewards. This is on par with the logic of recent beach decisions.

"7 ranks": is it the Gates to Nirvana?

Sue,
Possibly but I'd rather be low ranked and alive than promoted after death.
Charles will be disappointed with those attempting to manipulate his already proven theory.
Ok, so hands up those who want a promotion.

Mr Editor, foreign car companies always have a good 'relationship' with Thailand, as long they make money. It is just business. I not look down on Thais and Thailand. Thai are polluting their own environment. Phuket is sinking under all the daily rubbish, plus what thai throw out of the windows of their cars or motorbike, tins, plastics, etc. People will be shocked if they were given the E-coli count of patong beach were raw sewage flows 24 hours a day into Patong Bay. Thailand is in Tier-3, you know why.( thai look down on rohingya people, treat them for less than their pets) Tourists can become hostages in beaches ( by jet sky gangs). I just state facts, many I learned by reading Phuket-Wan paper. I do respect Thais and Thailand, but may I have true comments/critics?

Posted by Kurt on February 22, 2015 17:04

Editor Comment:

Perhaps you generalise too much and ignore the point I always make: that there are good and bad people from all countries, and remembering and recording only the bad makes you seem biased. You keep doing it, Kurt.

Promotion is standard in Thai Armed forces so the family will be looked after by the pension

Its does not just happen in Thai Armed forces

Phuket is not the real Thailand & has not gone anywhere close to becoming part of it. Anyone who thinks differently is deluding themselves.
