The four Chinese after being arrested on Phuket

Phuket's Love Island Wedding Studio Not So Blissful

Friday, February 21, 2014
PHUKET: The four Chinese operators of Phuket's Love Island Wedding Studio were often noted for ''talking loudly and very impolite,'' Immigration officers said today after arresting them all.

The principals had no business papers or work papers, officers discovered on raiding the premises in Maeluan Road, Phuket City.

They had caused disturbances at old mansions around Phuket Town and at perhaps Phuket's most popular place for wedding photographs, Cape Promthep.

Under arrest today were Shi Liang, 29, Tian Zhuang, 27, Miss Peng Zian, 28 and Miss Deng Lijuan, 26.

The four were expected to be fined and deported, Immigration officials said today.

Earlier in the week, 15 Chinese tourists were removed from a flight at Phuket International Airport after brawling over seating arrangements.

Not sure if they were working out of a 'studio', but noticed a couple of young Russian men on Nai Harn this morning with professional looking equipment taking some wedding photos of a happy pair of their fellow nationals (going by the language being spoken). A good little earner I suspect.

I think you need to see them doing this more than once to be suspicious.

@frog, the answer is no, Devil's Island was a French penal colony.
