Phuket Tour Van Driver Topples Power Pole in Crash

PHUKET: A tour van driver who crashed early today soon after dropping off tourists at Phuket International Airport was trapped in the vehicle for an hour.

The crash at 12.45am in Phuket's Srisoonthorn district on Thepkasattri Road toppled a power pole.

Driver Meka Tayathum, 37, was trapped in the vehicle for an hour until Kusoldharm Foundation workers were able to free him.

He was recovering in Phuket City's Mission Hospital today.

You don't know what happened. Maybe he swerved to miss someone else? Who knows?

I hope you get more sympathy than you deserve if ever you are in an accident.

I hope the driver gets well soon.

I don't mind if this is moderated. Perhaps our dear editor will want to delete the word heartless and leave the rest?
