PHUKET: Police are looking for a long-haired thief who grabbed a bag from two Chinese tourists in Patong today and rode off.
The man struck on the footpath outside the Holiday Inn Express Phuket Patong in Soi Had Patong and rode a motorcycle to escape towards Rat-U-Tit 200 Pi Road.
He had been pretending to make a call from a telephone box. A streetside security camera recorded the snatch and the man's getaway.
The woman yelled in Chinese: ''My bag! My bag!'' and security guards from the resort rushed to her aid.
The bag contained an iPhone4S and police are still talking to the two Chinese women. The women are staying at the Tune Hotel Patong.
The Chinese Government has warned Phuket authorities to take better care in protecting tourists.
Four Chinese were injured in a speedboat crash at an island off Phuket earlier this month.
