The knifeman's male friend - father of a young child - died in hospital so he probably will face a murder charge.

PHUKET: A man under the influence of ya ice methamphetamine was tasered and subdued by police last night in Phuket City.
Niwat Phusangsri, 25, and his girlfriend Rarinya Phuttawong, 29, who works at a Pink Lady karaoke, were visiting a friend near Phuket City's Rang Hill Chinese cemetery when events took a nasty turn.
Niwat took ya ice about 4pm and about 6.30pm, he stabbed his girlfriend twice. His friend, Chalermpon Tasurawiroj, 26, tried to help but was also stabbed.
The friend's wife called police who in turn called an ambulance that took the stabbed pair to Vachira Phuket Hospital.
Officers attempted to negotiate Niwat's surrender.
He caused himself some harm with the knife, which was when officers tasered and subdued him.
Rang Hill is evidently not the safest place to hang out at nighttime. It's such a shame as it is a 'cool' place in more ways than one. Still, places similar to Rang Hill in Europe and N. America (in my experience at least) are often the favoured places to go for teens and young people.
