PHUKET: A landslip is reported to have occurred above Patong today as Phuket mopped up after floods, with more severe weather forecast.

The Phuket Governor, Maitree Intrusud, and the Director of Kathu, Veera Kerdsirimongkol, were on their way to the scene.

Khun Veera with a team from Kathu District and local officials were mopping up in Patong after flooding disrupted traffic again overnight.

Meanwhile, the Phuket-based Southern Meteorological Centre (West Coast) forecast heavy weather today across Phuket, Phang Nga and Krabi with conditions likely to worsen and the system above the region stationary.

The newly cowering of the canal in front of Patong Hospital, forces the water downtown.

Mud wrestling time again. The area around the hospital looks just as bad flood-wise as before all the 'construction' started months ago. A proper solution needs to be worked out as quick access to the hosp. is a lifesaver.
