Phuket Holiday With Friend Marks End for Swedish Tourist

Sunday, January 24, 2010
A SWEDISH tourist died early today at a Phuket resort in a room he was sharing with another tourist and two Thai women.

Police named the dead man as Tordove Olsson, 63.

He and a friend, aged 70, were holidaying in a twin room at the Ocean Karon Resort, close to the lagoon in the next beachfront village south of Patong.

About 6am today, the man complained that he could not breathe, then appeared to suffer a seizure, said Colonel Boonlert On-klang, of Chalong police station.

The resort's resident nurse was called. She attempted to pump the man's heart back into action, to no avail, the colonel said.

Police believe there are no suspicious circumstances. Doctors at Vachira Hospital in Phuket City are conducting an examination of the man's body.

His friend has already notified the dead man's family in Sweden.

Viagra ?? Or course Thai pharmacies selling these without any prescription. Couldn't possibly be part of the problem.

Nor did he need a prescription for the Thai gals. Maybe they should also wear warning labels.
