If you are old enough, as a minor, to be a gangster, attack people with a knife, than why are you not old enough to be named and photographed? Very funny law setting. Expose these youngsters, warn the society about them.

Oh, rebellious means a free ticket to attack people with a knife? This are no children who are rebellious. This are youngsters acting as combined gang criminals. Many carry guns as well. Well, if most people understand that,..than what can I say other than: people , if you get robbed or sliced with a knife by young gangsters, do not think 17th century. Accept, as you are in 21st century.

@ Kurt similar rules apply in the UK etc to underage offenders. Children do not have such complex thought processes and the ability to rationalise like adults and therefore to an extent the law needs to protect them.

Mr Editor, thank you for placing my thoughts in here. I just like to say, ..when I was a teenager, I was very very rebellious. I gues the many grey hairs of my parents were there because of me. But I was never in a gang, I never carried a knife or gun, I did not commit crimes. Until today I have no crime record. A Rebellious teenager is a different person, he/she is not a life threatening gang member, scaring the life out of people with using a knive, steel bar, or even a gun. These tourists were scared to death by gang members, in 2014!

Well let's hope none of the people here who are 'over-understanding' young gang members. are ever attacked and slashed in their face with a knife ( as shown ). You will be 'marked' for the rest of your life, and that all because of rebellious youngsters. You not believe that yourself when you the rest of your life see your face daily in mirror.

@ Kurt. I was also a rebellious teenager but in my teenage years there were no gangs and teenagers didn't carry knives and guns. This is 2014 and things have changed, there are gangs, people do carry knives and guns, and i'm pretty sure if i was a rebellious teenagers now i'd be in a gag and perhaps even carrying a knife or gun. luckily in Phuket gang culture isn't as widespread as it is in my home town, London, which is why i choose to bring my child up here and not in London.
