The revamp of Thai Airways is among the first attempts by Thailand's ruling junta to stabilise and revive some of the country's state-owned enterprises since it seized power.

Interesting that an official from what has effectively become a Police State lectures other countries on how they should apply democracy. Invading Iraq, Aghanistan, imposing their version of 'democracy on others by coercion, black mail and aid does not bode well. Supporting coups elsewhere in the world (Oops Egypt wasn't a coup, was is because the Americans said so!) but turning their noses up at Thailand, where a relatively peaceful coup is now reaping its benefits.

Maybe the Americans should get their own house in order before criticizing others.

CNT Gold List, as well as Tripadvisor's ranking, should be taken with a grain of salut, as they mostly represent an opinion of North American audience - and whose tastes may be very distinctive to yours: they almost don't go to beach, often value hotels merely how talkative doorboy is, find food in French Polynesia "terrible" as there is no burgers and fries for lunch and so on.
