Patong's 50m Baht Upgrade Look

Tuesday, October 15, 2013
PHUKET: Plans are underway for Phuket's west coast beach capital of Patong to spend a 50 million baht grant from the Thai Government. The money, from the Tourism and Sport Ministry, is aimed at upgrading the shorefront, where motorcycles zipping along the beach footpath presently make travelling unsafe for tourists and residents.

Can I just laugh at these photos? I ask because it's so badly done and thought out I couldn't help but laugh.

How about safe and law controlled pedestrian crossings?
Ok, not the way, like in Kata and Karon: Install pedestrian lights, first ignore them and honk at everyone, who wanna go, as long a car wanna pass, but later never switched on again.

yes these designs omit the motorcycles and jet-skis and they will also omit tourists coming here to see the natural beauty of the flora and beach. Nobody comes to visit a "concrete jungle" in the tropics as a vacation spot.

Lets get the motorcycles stooped now This is easy to enforce, They seem to manage in Kata. Even if they remodel everything without the proper management it will still be the same. I never see the police down on the foreshadow, there is way too many jet-skies, dogs Rubbish and people selling things already.

I love the last picture with the yellow line for "no tuk-tuk parking". I'm sure that will work like a dream. Also like how they curved the line around the manhole cover instead of painting over it. That shows impeccable attention to detail.

Why don't they take the money and give it to the police force. All the cops need eye surgery to see things happening around and inside the area of Patong. Now the locals will be able to drive their pick ups down the new pavement.

Please put my name forward to manage the proposed Information Centre. I have no connection any important figures in the community and I only heard the word 'mafia' very recently. I do not believe in guns or any other lethal weapons although I always carry my nail file with me for personal use. I am good with children and have always wanted to work with animals. I can be trusted with cash but not cheques or similar.
I would need a direct hotline to the local Police Station in the event of an emergency or needing advice.
If this is on a 'commission only' basis I would not be interested as I still need to make more friends in the accommodation and travel areas.
Whilst writing your Phuketwan photos/images could also do with being of improved quality (and don't suggest it is my computer because the handle on the side works perfectly). When I forward to my friends they nearly always have to be enhanced.
I am also an excellent photographer but now I'm straying away from your published subject.
