PHUKET: Phuket will have two new vice governors from December 1 to enhance the team led by Governor Nisit Jansomwong.
One new vice governor, Suthee Tongyam, comes from the province that produced Governor Nisit, Rachaburi. A graduate of Chulalongkorn University, Khun Suthee has been worknig as a district officer for a year.
Joining him on Phuket will be Panlop Singhaseni, who has been running the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation in Kamphaeeng Phet province.
The pair replace Vice Governor Jamleran Tipayapongtadav who is moving to Nakhon Pathom and Dr Sommai Preechasin, who has retired.
They should both be on the island to begin work on December 1.
Vice Governor Somkiet Sangkaosutthirak remains as the most experienced of the three Phuket vice governors.
