PHUKET: British police are on the alert for a yacht dealer who could be headed for Phuket after his girlfriend vanished in Spain.
Lisa Brown, 32, was last seen at her home in Guardiaro on November 4, according to newspaper reports.
Spanish police are looking for her boyfriend, Simon Corner, who is also believed to use the name Dean Woods.
According to the Daily Record, The missing woman's sister Helen Jordan, 49, of Dumbarton, said: ''You never think a family member would go missing like this.
''I was messaged out the blue on Facebook by someone who gave me an alternative name for Mr Corner.''
Ms Brown has an eight-year-old son, Marco, had been in a relationship with Corner for several months.
Corner, 33, hasn't been seen for three weeks and it is thought he may have gone to Thailand. Given his background as a yacht dealer, Phuket is the most likely destination.
He served three months in jail last year for having a knife in a Gibraltar nightclub. He was also convicted of common assault, death threats and disorderly conduct in a police station.
Ms Brown, who works across the border in Gibraltar, didn't arrive to pick up Marco from school one day last month.
Sniffer dogs, divers and helicopters have joined the search for her.
Reporters from the Olive Press, an English newspaper in Spain, visited the harbor where Mr Corner's yacht was often moored and spoke to other sailors.
He was described as a ''wheeler dealer'' who looked older than his age and made his money buying and selling boats.
Mr Corner's yacht was moored at the marina in La Linea, near Gibraltar. Ms Brown often visited him on board.

I have just read your piece about Lisa Brown who has been missing since the beginning of November and is now presumed dead. Simon Corner was her boyfriend, he went on the missing list within a couple of days of Lisa being reported missing to the Spanish Police.
This man is a violent thug who has spent time in prison in Gibraltar for carrying a knife, he also uses many aliases. He apparently used his credit card in Thailand and its possible he is still on one of the islands.
Please circulate the story and photo of Corner throughout Thailand. Somebody must know who this guy is.
