PHUKET: Special police were called to Hatsanawanit Soi 2/2 in Talad Yai, Phuket City, about 10am today where a shirtless man was alarming residents by waving a machete in the air and grinning broadly. Pramote Deechooson, 40, is thought to be captain of a yacht based at Boat Lagoon. Efforts at negotiation failed and it took 30 minutes for officers, using rubber bullets and a taser, to subdue the man.
