TOURIST Richard Wittur can laugh about it now but having been knocked down by a pickup was not such fun.
Canadian Mr Wittur, 64, who is on a long holiday staying at Sunset Travel in Karon, was knocked over as he crossed Patak Road in Karon yesterday afternoon.
He was treated in Patong Hospital, kept over night then transferred today to Vachira Phuket Hospital in Phuket City.
A friend caught up with him there. Despite a broken arm, cut face and damage to his legs, Mr Wittur could still smile and was pleased to be alive.

Any information as to whether the driver of the pick-up stopped to assist this guest in Thailand?
