PHUKET: A motorcycle rider was killed when an out-of-control truck was steered through a red light and veered into oncoming traffic on Phuket today.

The truck, containing cooking oil being transported to Chumporn province, crashed into two oncoming cars and two motorcycles, ending in a spectacular flip from the road into the verge, security camera footage reveals.

Motorcycle rider Utit Sae-yang, 33, was killed in the crash about 11am at the intersection where Thepkasattri Road meets the old airport road.

Truck driver Prasit Srisamutr, 43, was admitted to Thalang Hospital.

Officers from Tatchatchai Police Station cleared the region of debris as fast as possible.

last week 3 busses not come up the hill in patong about 100 chinese people walked like cows up on the most dangerous road in phuket the point ?? yes cars buses so old no brakes in bad condition poor drivers because ?? the whole live he see this accident in front him day and night why the government not check , trucks etc.!!!and make checks on the street from other provinces so no corruption anymore !!!!!

K.Prasit is guilty of reckless driving causing a death and mayhem. Will Thailand ever recognize that without law enforcement, senseless deaths like this will forever be a common occurrence. This is just sickening.
