Well I guess they missed this one. The fact that huge reserves of gas and oil have been discovered in the gulf of Thailand. Neither is there any connection with any foreign intelligence services, just like there was no connection with them for the 7/7 attacks in London. Luckily we have friendly nations, with no self interest to help us at our hour of need and we have those shining example of Kuwait and Iraq to give us that comfort feel.
