Flight mh370 has been missing for over 1 year now, by all reports who ever was flying the plane deliberately flew out over the open ocean and the plane crashed when it run out of fuel. nothing to do with the planes condition.
If relatives want closure the Malaysian government could charter a ship and take them to out to where they think the plane crashed or fund the continuing search if they are not already doing so.
