PHUKET: With a crowd of 6000 turning out to cheer on the local team, Phuket FC fought valiantly before going down 1-0 to Bangkok Glass at Surakul Stadium in Phuket City last night. Having made the final 16 of the Toyota League Cup, Phuket did well to survive in the competition until the 68-minute mark. Weariness probably played a part - it was Phuket's fourth match in 10 days. In fifth spot on the Division One ladder, promotion hopes are riding high.
